What We Do
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is known as the "gentle art." It encourages students to use their opponents’ own power against them as opposed to using sheer brute force. The goal of a match is not to disable your opponent, but simply to have them submit (tap out). This results in fewer injuries than other types of martial arts and allows students to develop their skills to perfection. You do not need to be the larger or stronger person in order to win a match – instead, the person with better technique finds victory at our school.
Our membership structure include:
• GB³ - Unlimited classes

Your First Class
Your first class can be scheduled online, over the phone or as a walk-in. Simply arrive about 15 minutes early, so we have enough time to get you checked in and complete the necessary paperwork. While we may get you fitted for a loaner gi to wear during your first class, we also recommend that you wear dark, athletic clothing and sandals. We recommend for you to bring water. Lastly, we encourage that all new students bring an open mind and willingness to learn. As they saying goes, you can’t fill a teacup that is already full!
Your first class will help you learn the basics. You can expect to leave having learned the ground layer to jiu jitsu; how to bow onto the mat, where to line up during class, and how to properly do the warm-ups and how to train safely during the class itself. Our instructors will guide you through the process so you can become part of our BJJ family.
There is a saying in the Jiu Jitsu Community: "a black belt is a white belt who never gave up." Join our family with a free class today!
